I just wanted to post a quick note that I have yet created a NEW doll web site.... After some ruff times over the last year I had to put Dolly Time to the side as well as my doll collecting. I am happy to say that I am doing much better now and have been working on a new site for a little over a month now. Finally I created the web site that I have always wanted ... it is still named Dolly Time, and still has the Blythe resource but includes many other dolls and is going to be much more dynamic. I hope for it to become a successful dolly community/web site. I am adding new content every day. There is not a forum, but you are able to become a member of the new site and particiapte in several different areas. I hope you will come check it out....

I would like to apologise to my dolly friends in cyber space for dollytime.org making a disappearing act so suddenly. I have had some personal problems in my life recently and it caused me to put my dollies and the site on hold. To make a long story short... the site is now back online and will be updated very soon, but it is no longer at dollytime.org it is now at a new web address, thanks to my great friend Spookshowbaby, here:

In the midst of all my problems I had another problem with my host provider Host Ultra (they suck BTW) and they dumped my databases, which included ALL the posts that were on the DT forum that we have all worked so hard on for the last 3 years.. this really ticked me off to say the least and I am sure so many other people as well. I can not get the posts back, partly it is my fault and the other part is the fault of Host Ultra's unprofessionalism. In the interim I also lost the links directory and the photo album of all the swaps that we had at DT. URRR!
As far as the forums go, I have handed over my admin duties to my great friend, Kerry, aka Spookshowbaby... she has created a new message forum here: http://www.dollygolightly.com/phpBB2/
I really am sorry everyone,..... now let's get back to dolly time. ;-)

We have doll outfit swaps every month at the dollytime forums... they are a lot of fun! I am excited about the latest one for June. It is a OOAK Fashion Doll and outfit swap. This is going to be fun! I haven't had a chance to customize a fashion doll in quite a while. My favorite dolls to makeover are My Scene Barbies.

Another Limited Edition Blythe doll is in the works for July. Not sure exactly what her name is yet, but she is going to be in a Roxy theme, the feminine clothing line from Quiksilver. Looks like she will be sporting a cute Roxy bikini, a parka, halter top, mini skirt or shorts, flip-flops and a cute surf board. Her eyes will be 4 shades of blue, like the wave's of Hawaii. Hair looks to be a reddish Brown and a NEW skin tone, that is sun tanned. Makeup will be natural, lips a natural brown.
There is mention of a Petite Roxy too.
Price is going for around $150 US and $15540 Yen (not positive about this)
Not sure is this is a Limited by CWC or TRU or ??? More details later. |

I finally got around to organizing the Takara Blythe web page at dollytime. It was just one full page with all pics of Takara releases but it was such a large file and took forever to load... so I axed that and started over. Now each Takara Blythe doll has it's own page. ;-) With more photos and information.
If you would like to contribute your dolls photos to the site, check the individual dolls page and see if a Photo is Needed... if so you can e-mail your dolly pics to me if you like.

Unfortunately I can't read Japanese or speak it, so I try to translate whatever I can on the web using translator tools. From what I can understand CWC is issuing near the end of May a Limited to 1,800 pieces outfit for Blythe. It is called "Apple Sweet Angel" and it is in the style of Gothic Lolita.

She is to be called "Cinema Princess" and will be the 4th Anniversary Blythe doll. Limited production to 2,005 pieces. Notice the forward glancing eyes are blue and green. Looks like she will be wearing a very formal gown with a tiara, and a second outfit as a riding suit. Wonder how this red hair will be, it looks hot!

I wasn't sure that I would be that found of Sunday Very Best when I saw her promo pics, but one of my friends had her up for adoption and I really wanted a blonde, so I gave her a chance. Once I actually saw her in person, I was blown away by her beauty. She looks fabulous in virtually anything she wears. Her hair is soft and very easy to style. Her bangs always lay just perfectly. I have given her one custom feature, that is her Lipsticker that I received from spookshowbaby (Thank you). She is one of the prettiest Blythe dolls I have... shhh! don't let the other girls know. ;-)

Candy Carnival Blythe is due for release next month, end of May. I can't wait to see this new blue haired Blythe. We are all wondering what shade her hair is going to be on the forums, I'm guessing it may be on the lighter side, like Madem Rosebud??? Here's her promo pic:
She is to come with: a dress, an apron, shoes, underwear, hat, hair ornament, band for hair, a baby pig, basket, doll stand, and collection card.

Welcome to my dolly journal... this is my first entry.
... it's pretty boring so far. I hope it gets better soon... umm, don't you hate it when you can think of plenty of things to say and then your mind suddenly draws a blank. Hmpf. That could be because it's really late? Now I'm talking to myself. LOL

I am a Blythe doll collector and love all types of dolls, especially those from the 70's & 80's and other fashion dolls & toys. |
